The Election year 2009 begins with Muharram and ends with Muharram. Isn’t it indicative of the thought-process of the Government? Besides, all but the National holidays of Independence Day , Republic day and 2nd October, are holidays on account of religious considerations- in a country which is constitutionally Secular in character. What else does one call a communal outlook.
