Indian manufacturer Notion Ink has released the Cain 8 a 3G tablet running on Windows 8.1. The gadget costs Rs 9990 which makes it among the cheapest in its category.
The device consists of an 8-inch 1280 x 800 pixel IPS LCD display supporting 5-point touch input. The Notion Ink Cain 8 is powered by a quad core Intel processor, the Atom Z3735F to be precise clocked at 1.8GHz in burst mode.
The device is a better option for those who prefer to have the desktop on windows experience. It can run common desktop applications, however CPU intensive programs like video editing or high end gaming will not yield good results. Notion Ink has a modest 2MP rear camera and a VGA front snapper onto the tablet - not a good option for serious snappers. It has got 16GB of internal memory and support upto 64GB via microSD card slot. The tablet include 1GB RAM, HDMI output, USB OTG. The device is powered by a 4000mAh battery which can deliver around 8 hours of web browsing or up to 5 hours of video playback.
